Made of solid brass the Tea Light Mother of Pearl Urn can hold a small amount of ashes and is often used to as a keepsake urn. Keepsake urns are used to hold a small portion of ashes while the majority of the ashes are scattered or buried. This brass urn is layered with tiny pieces of Mother of Pearl that are hand cut and hand-placed one at a time with perfect alignment.
Please Note: Mother of Pearl is an organic-inorganic composite material produced by some mollusks as an inner shell layer; it is also what makes up the outer coating of pearls. Though it is very strong, resilient and iridescent it does have naturally occurring imperfections.
